Privacy policy

We treat everything you share with us in strict confidence. This page explains what we collect and why.

Draft for professional legal review — no professional legal approval is claimed. Controller: Exit Partners Limited, company number 11721705. Address: The Studio, Brentmoor Road, Woking, Surrey, GU24 9NE. Privacy contact: info@exits.co.uk. Retention periods and hosting/transfers remain subject to confirmation and review.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry or request a full Exit Readiness Report, Owner Dependency Report or Exit Timeline, we collect the details you choose to give us — such as your name, contact details, business name, turnover and employee bands, exit timing and, for assessments, your answers and scores. Answers remain in your browser until you submit a report request. We also record the page you used and, where available, how you arrived at the site, including campaign information.

How we use it

Exit Agent interest registration is separate from an adviser enquiry. We collect your name, email, optional company name and whether you are a business owner, professional adviser or other interested person. We record your request for availability updates and any separate optional marketing choice. Registration does not create an account, assessment or transaction lead. No sensitive exit information is requested.

Sharing

Exit Partners receives assessment submissions, including those kept private from the referring adviser. Detailed results must not appear in the adviser area without a valid client sharing record. Adviser sharing is currently disabled pending verified client identity. The existing professional adviser retains their client relationship.

Partner-created client records do not authorise unsolicited contact. Specialist requests record the requested scope, adviser involvement and contact permission. Public owner and adviser help enquiries enter ExitPlanning adviser triage, not an automatic transfer to another brand. Any later specialist involvement is discussed and agreed after the human conversation.

Purpose and lawful basis — review required

Responding to enquiries, preparing requested assessments, sending requested Exit Agent availability updates and maintaining confidential professional records are separate purposes from unrelated marketing. Exit Agent registrants may withdraw their interest by contacting our privacy email. No broad email campaign is activated. A legal reviewer must confirm the appropriate lawful basis and retention period for each purpose, controller responsibilities and any data-processing arrangements. Optional marketing consent does not authorise adviser result-sharing.

Storage and retention

Your information is held securely and accessible only to authorised members of our team. We keep it only for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain proper records.

Firm-owned client records are isolated. Completed reports and consent records are protected from accidental alteration or deletion, but this does not make personal data permanently undeletable. Retention schedules, lawful exceptions, erasure procedures, processor locations and international-transfer safeguards must be agreed before real client intake.

Cookies and measurement

Sign-in uses session storage. Public enquiries use browser session storage to retain campaign information and the arrival page. Public activity events are prepared locally without names, email addresses, assessment answers or scores; no marketing analytics provider is connected. Marketing measurement is suppressed on private adviser, client, sign-in and invitation journeys. No automated report delivery is connected. Storage purposes, lawful basis and any future tracking need a reviewed notice and appropriate consent controls before launch.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Contact info@exits.co.uk or write to Exit Partners Limited, The Studio, Brentmoor Road, Woking, Surrey, GU24 9NE.

Professional review must cover access/correction/erasure procedures, consent withdrawal, ICO complaint information and response deadlines.
