Editorial policy
ExitPlanning.co.uk publishes general information to help UK business owners plan an exit, retirement or succession, typically one to five years ahead. This page explains how that information is produced and maintained.
How is content produced?
Guides are written from practical experience of UK SME business sales and exit preparation. Each page addresses one principal question, answers it directly near the top, then explains the detail.
How is content reviewed?
Every guide shows its author and a "Last reviewed" date. That date changes only when the substance of the page has actually been checked — not when the design changes. Pages touching tax, legal, pensions or employment matters are flagged for review by an appropriately qualified professional; where such a review has taken place, the reviewer is named separately as a technical reviewer.
How are sources chosen?
Where a factual or numeric claim needs support, we prefer primary sources such as GOV.UK, HMRC and legislation.gov.uk, and cite them visibly. Professional judgement is presented as such, not as fact.
When are articles updated?
Content is reviewed periodically and whenever relevant rules, thresholds or market practice change.
Is this professional advice?
No. Content is general information only. Individual circumstances differ, and you should take tax, legal and financial advice before acting. See our privacy notice or arrange a confidential conversation.
Who operates this site?
ExitPlanning.co.uk is operated by Exit Partners Limited (company number 11721705).

Editorial responsibility sits with Tony Vaughan.
